#5 Being Human (Season 2)
Why does no one watch this show? Does the concept of a werewolf/vampire/ghost sharing a house sound too silly? Really don’t let it put you off, Being Human can be funny, ridiculously so but mostly it’s dark, really dark the kind of shit no other show in its genre could actually pull off (think Supernatural at its most angsty/fucked up then turn crank the darkness up further until your consumed with brilliance)
The acting is outstanding, the vampire mythology oh so intriguing, the awful s-t Annie, George and Mitchell have to endure is gut wrenching. It’s worth it though, the pain, the love, the death, all of it for Being Human isn’t afraid to go down the dark alleys that horror so often misses in favour of overs-d vamps and poorly constructed characters.
There is of course a US remake launching next year but really watch the UK version first! No really, I don’t want to hear people squeeing about the Sy-Fy version if they don’t even bother with the original. You are missing out on not only the genre’s best show but hey one of the best shows period.
